The person behind the lens

Introducing Amarjit Singh: Capturing the Essence of Sikh Heritage through Photography

As a photographer, I find immense joy in documenting the awe-inspiring lives of the nomadic Sikh warriors, the Nihangs. Their valor, discipline, and unique way of life have captivated my lens and touched my soul. Through my photographs, I aim to immortalize their stories, showcasing their vibrant turbans, iconic weapons, and unwavering devotion to Sikh principles.

Beyond the courageous Nihangs, my lens also explores the intricacies of ancient Sikh frescos scattered throughout Punjab. These art pieces hold an invaluable key to understanding the essence of Sikh culture and spirituality. I consider it my responsibility to capture these delicate artworks, ensuring their beauty and significance reach far and wide.

Join me as we explore the captivating world of the Nihangs and the splendid frescos that adorn Punjab's landscapes, and let us cherish the legacy of the Sikh community in all its glory.

Warm regards,

Panth ka das
